3 Phases every new Notion user goes through

New Notion users generally go through three phases:

In the first phase, they are totally overwhelmed by all the possibilities and don’t really know what to do.

In the 2nd they start to build around in Notion. It feels like being a kid again that is left alone with a shiny lego set. Soon they are creating creative solutions for their respective challenges. However, everything is overcomplicated and convoluted.

This changes in the 3rd phase, when they are starting to simplify their setups. Once they are in this phase, there is no turning back. Because simple solutions are always better in the long run.

The way I learned about Notion was rather ordinary. Like so many people before I first heard about this app while I was watching an Ali Abdaal video.
