How To Build Business Momentum As An Entrepreneur?
Why gaining momentum is the most important task for founders
- Tesla: “Momentum despite the crisis.”
- Bitcoin: “The price is fighting for its momentum.”
- Stefanos Tsitsipas —” Tennis champion with little momentum.”
Three recent headlines from the business and sports world that use the term momentum. But what exactly is momentum and how do we build it?
Very simple: It is a term from physics and means that a body moves.
Imagine Usain Bolt walking towards you.
If Bolt is right in front of you to start, you can hold him with relatively little force and prevent him from launching.
However, once Bolt hit his 25 mph operating speed, he would almost certainly run over you (unless you’re jumping to the side in time).
The momentum is greater, the faster a body moves, and the more massive it is. The smaller the momentum, the easier it is for the body to slow down. The greater the impulse, the sooner you will be rolled over by this body.
Interestingly, this physical principle can be applied to many situations in daily life and is important for salespeople, entrepreneurs, lawyers, actors, athletes, football…
